Journal Entry
Imagine sitting with a loved one who is nearing death or has passed. What would you ask them if you could?
Write a "conversation" with this person where you ask and answer meaningful questions. This exercise deepens reflective processing while cultivating the feeling of continued connection.
Creative Expression
Think of a time when grief felt heavy or unrelenting. If that moment were part of a comedy scene, how might it be rewritten with humor or absurdity?
Write or verbally recount that moment as if it were a short comedic monologue or cartoon strip, finding playful exaggerations or irony. Notice how reframing with levity shifts emotional weight.
Processing Grief with Community
Gather with a friend, family member, or small group and share a story about someone, a part of yourself, a stage of your life, or something that you have lost. What emotions surface as you recount the memory? How do others' experiences of grief resonate with yours?
Take turns speaking and listening. Offer reflections, hold space for each person's story, and notice the shared themes that emerge. If desired, create a collaborative piece—poetry, music, or art—that honors those memories.
